Winter break started out with a bang - Melanie had a sleepover at Alexa's for A's birthday - this was the first time Mel has stayed with someone other than a family member (although Alexa has stayed with us). The same night, Joey lost his first tooth!
The very next day, both kids had a friend over to celebrate the first day of break - Joey had his buddy Henry, and Mel had Sydney
After spending Saturday evening with their cousins at the Bridgewater Club, and the four of us staying the night at Grandma & Papa's, Cory I took the kids ice skating on Sunday - Joey's & Charlie's first time, the girls' second time

The kids then each had an overnight with Grandparents (Mel in Frankfort with Molly and Joey in Carmel), during their first week of break, and then we moved into Christmas celebrations.
Mel ended up going back to Frankfort for another overnight with Molly on Christmas night, and then we followed up that overnight with a trip to the bowling alley on Saturday.
Monday/Tuesday, the kids swapped grandparents - Joey went to Frankfort and Melanie went to Carmel; more great times were had by all.
Next up - wall climbing at Hoosier Heights with Wyatt & a friend, Bella, and Ellie! The kids lasted 4+ hours, and had a blast! They got this idea from Charlie & Sammie's August birthday party at Climb Time, but I was amazed by how long they did this! Just a few highlights -
The next day was NYE; after Joey's treatment, we spent the evening/night at Grandma & Papa's
We took it fairly easy NY Day; on Saturday, we met up with Gigi, Poppy, and Aunt Julie for a birthday lunch for Gigi before she heads to Florida. That night, we got surprise Colts tickets for Sunday, so Jeff & Joey headed to the game - section 206, row 1!
I'd hazard to say this break has been one for the books! We're allll ready to settle back into a routine; Melanie, the night before they return to school, "can't sleep because she's too excited to see her friends and learn more"!!
