Melanie's Birthday Party

Melanie's birthday party this year was a fun gathering of just her grandparents, cousins, Aunt Cory & Uncle Randy.  Unfortunately, Aunt Julie had to work - but she was there in spirit!  After we answered the incessant question all morning "Am I four yet?  I'm four now, right??" and repeatedly explaining that she wasn't going to turn four until the FOLLOWING Saturday, Jeff apparently got worn down by the questioning, and said "Yes, you're four now."  She was such a pro at being four that by Monday, on the way to school, she declared she is now four and a half.  Melanie is very blessed to have so many people who love her so much - and we are indeed blessed for having her in our lives!  She is a spunky, funny, smart, emotional, loving little girl!

After going big for last year's cake, I decided Melanie's request for "pink Dora cupcakes" could be fulfilled in our own house.  Pretty glamorous, no??

Gigi & Poppy are usually in Florida for Melanie's birthday parties.  While I wish they would have been there (instead of  going through the reason they weren't there) - it was nice to have them at the party!
