Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!

Melanie's room was decorated and ready for her to wake up on Saturday morning.  However, since she just this week got her child-proof doorknob removed from the inside of her room, she awoke at 6am, opened the door, and the streamers were a bit scary in the dark.  Once I got to her room, she realized what was going on, and spent the next 15 minutes running back and forth through the streamers.
Once both kids had their way with the streamers, they became a game of themselves.
Opening Gifts!

Pretty excited about the plates, bowls, and cups she got for her birthday!  The big hit, however, was the "Princess Book," which she dropped on her toe, but seems to still like.

Off to the Birthday Festivities!!
Heading to McDonald's for Breakfast with Ellie!Getting ready to see Dora's Pirate Adventure!  Melanie's friends Ellie & Aya, and her cousins Charlie, Molly, and Sammie, all helped her celebrate her birthday!

Making plans with Molly before the show
Molly brought Melanie flowers for her birthday!  Such a fun idea, and such a pain to carry around Beef and Boards!

Molly with Pirate Dora & Boots

Yes, Melanie met Pirate Dora & Boots too.  Alas, there are no photos, as she wanted to tell them about her birthday, her Dora-themed party, etc....but no picture.

Then it was time to head to Chick-Fil-A with Ellie & Molly!
Wheeeee!

Food is serious business.  This is right before Molly decides her Dora dress is no longer needed, because now she's Diego.  She tore the dress off and hit the playground in just her long-sleeved shirt and tights.  My praises were that my daughter is not the only one who thinks that is a legitimate outfit.
Making sure I drink as much of Molly's milkshake as I can.  It's MY birthday, after all!!
BIG day.
And my choice for my birthday dinner is...... Pigs in a Blanket!!  Except I won't actually look at the camera.

Breaking in my swimsuit for the big water park trip tomorrow!
