Day of Leukemia Awareness

October 11 was quite a day.  First, Joey was one of two sponsor kids (Cody Bevelhimer was the other) for the American Legion "Josiah's Ride - Cruzin 4 A Cure" event in Zionsville.  I previously posted about this, because we were in the Zionsville parade in September as part of this event.  The actual event day kicked off at the American Legion with breakfast and a send-off of the bikers.  They rode through Crawfordsville and Frankfort before heading back to Zionsville - so we drove that route, too!  We met up with the riders at a restaurant in Crawfordsville, and then at Hoop's in Frankfort.  Then back to the Legion for the post-ride festivities, which included a silent auction, raffles, a band, and dinner.  We had a great turnout both in Frankfort and Zionsville to support Joey and leukemia awareness!

And then, from the Legion, we headed downtown to Victory Field to walk in the LLS Light the Night event.  We also had a great turnout for this, and appreciated our family & friends coming down to walk, or supporting us in other ways.

Our team, minus about 8 people we got separated from at this photo opp.  What a great support network for Joey!
