Hall of Fame. Not my Fame.

The Doans at the Friday luncheon.  In the sweet seats at Ross-Ade Stadium

Looking over the football field (although you can't really see it)
Mackey Arena.  Yes, we've been there before.  Still have to be nerds and take our picture.
Julie:  "Hi, Coach, I would like to take a picture with you, just so I can say I got my picture taken WITH Matt Painter IN the men's locker room."
MP:  "Okay, it's even stranger that I am eating a protein bar."
Yep, we're that cool.

Anyone want to guess what Jeff now wants for every room in the house?  This is in the locker room - where they watch game tapes.
Chris & Bob - with the bell that the basketball players will ring every time they run out on the court.

Pop's contemporary, John Wooden :)

The "Hanging P."  More fearsome than the hanging chad, I'm sure.
As mentioned, Purdue did the upgrades to Mackey without any taxpayer money. It was done through $ through the Big Ten network and fundraising.  The fundraising names will be on the wall "permanently" soon - in the meantime, someone had a good idea to put them on the wall on a $10 piece of paper, to give it one season to make sure names were spelled right, etc.  I found a set of names I liked, so I took a picture!
The "Boiler choo-choo," as Melanie calls it.
The festivities on Friday leading up to the Hall of Fame ceremony included an extensive tour of the Mackey Complex - a multi (multi)-million dollar upgrade to the existing Mackey Arena (basketball).  The newly-improved complex benefits all 500 student-athletes, with workout facilities, etc.  All of this was done without taxpayer support.  Lin Dunn was the women's basketball coach at Purdue for eight years, and is now with the WNBA; she's been coaching for 40+ years.  As she was being inducted into the Hall of Fame this same weekend, she remarked, "If there is a finer athletic facility in the country, I'd sure like to see it."  Boiler Up.
